A mass shooting occurred at Lincoln University in Chester County, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night during homecoming celebrations, injuring four people.

Gunfire broke out shortly after 9 p.m. near the university’s football field, where a tailgate and yardfest event was taking place. Videos shared online showed a large crowd enjoying the event before the shots were fired.

According to the Oxford Borough Police Department, four victims sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment. CBS News reported that the shooting happened during the historically Black university’s homecoming weekend, about 50 miles west of Philadelphia.

The Chester County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that law enforcement responded to the scene and that an investigation is ongoing.
