AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Lone Star Conference play for Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M continued Saturday evening.
The Greyhounds put up a spectacular performance in their 59-35 win over Western New Mexico for Homecoming.
They had 750 total yards of offense and 712 of those yards were on the ground.
Running back Jarius Stewart had 373 yards and five rushing touchdowns, as well as 38 passing yards.
Both Stewart and the team set new single-game records in the Lone Star Conference after today’s game for rushing yards.
The Hounds also got it down on the defensive end, recording 10 TFL, five sacks, and one forced fumble.
With the win, the Greyhounds are now 2-4 in conference play and 2-6 overall.
