It was hardly pretty, but the Oregon football team walked out of Autzen Stadium Saturday, Oct. 25 with a 21-7 win over Wisconsin behind a gritty performance from its offense, a stout defensive effort and solid play from walk-on backup QB Brock Thomas .
The Ducks (7-1, 4-1 Big Ten) withstood an injury to starting quarterback Dante Moore, who is expected to be fine after suffering a face injury that saw him bleeding from his nose . The backup, Thomas, finished 4-for-4 passing for 46 yards and his first career touchdown to reserve lineman Gernorris Wilson.
