Red zone turnaround lifts Schroeder past Hilton in Section V football quarterfinals

Red zone struggles largely defined Webster Schroeder's slow start on offense. Red zone success in the second half, in turn, catapulted the Warriors to a 17-0 win over Hilton in the Class A-1 section quarterfinals.

Schroeder found itself inside Hilton's 10-yard line twice in the first 24 minutes. In the first instance, the ground game couldn't supplant the Cadets' defensive line, forcing a short field goal from Michael Leonard. On the second, a first-and-goal from the 7-yard line was wasted on quarterback Kalin Watkins' interception.
