A 58-year-old home maker was killed after she was knocked down by a BMTC electric bus on Saturday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Mala, resident of Hampi nagar .

She was crossing the road when the bus heading towards Vijayanagar from Yeshwanthpur knocked her down fatally killing her on the spot at Hampi Nagar bus stand.

The Vijayanagar traffic police have registered a case of death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving against the driver seized the bus for further investigation.
