A well known and popular sandwich and coffee chain looks set to open a new branch at Coventry Railway Station. Pret a Manger, usually referred to as just Pret, is a popular 'on the go' food and drink outlet with shops all over the country.

Originating in London in the 1980s, Pret has gained popularity in recent years thanks to its freshly made sarnies and organic coffee. The new outlet will be just the second of its kind in Coventry - the company previously opened a shop at the University of Warwick .

According to an application seeking permission to install signage on Coventry City Council's planning portal, the new outlet will occupy retail units four and five at the station. It is understood these units serve platform 1 on one side, the other side facing out onto Station Square.
