Bandipora, Oct 26: Traffic on the Srinagar–Bandipora road was suspended on Sunday morning after a suspected object was found near Ziyarat Chimpazpora in Ajas area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, officials said.

Security forces immediately cordoned off the area and halted vehicular movement as a precautionary measure. A bomb disposal squad has been called to the site to examine the object.

Police confirmed that teams are on the job and the situation is being closely monitored. Further details are awaited. (Agencies)
