With Cyclone Montha approaching the eastern coast, the Odisha government has cancelled the leave of all government employees in seven districts to ensure effective disaster preparedness and a coordinated emergency response.
Leave Cancelled in Seven Key Districts
According to official sources, the directive applies to employees in Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Balasore, and Kendrapara districts.
In Balasore, the District Collector has cancelled all holidays until the situation stabilises.
In Ganjam, officials have been instructed to remain at their headquarters from October 25 to 30.
In Kendrapara, the order is effective from October 26.
