Most people don’t expect to find themselves in the middle of a rescue mission while sipping their morning coffee. But for one man in Colorado, that’s exactly what happened.

As he enjoyed his usual morning routine, something unusual caught his eye near the edge of a nearby cliff. At first, it looked like a small shift in the landscape. But as he focused, he realized it wasn’t just movement, it was a tiny dog, stranded and in need of urgent help.

Without hesitation, the man contacted the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR), reporting what he had seen and asking for assistance.
