Canadian singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado has revealed she will take a step back from music .
The announcement on Instagram came weeks after the 46-year-old, who burst onto the scene in 2000 with the worldwide hit I’m Like A Bird and its parent album Whoa, Nelly!, brushed off comments about her figure during her headlining set at the Manchester Pride event.
Furtado hit the stage in an oversized T-shirt with a cartoon hourglass figure, and the phrase ‘better than ever’ on the back.
