Rainfall in parts of Gujarat; IMD issues orange, yellow alert for heavy rain for next 4 days October 25, 2025
Ahmedabad: Several parts of Gujarat witnessed rainfall today. Unjha and Mehsana received rain early in the morning, followed by showers in Veraval, Gir Somnath, and Surat during the afternoon.
This comes as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow and orange alerts for heavy rainfall in major districts of the state for the next four days. The IMD’s forecast has been issued amid a depression over the east-central Arabian Sea, centered near latitude 16.5°N and longitude 70.4°E — about 380 km west-northwest of Panjim (Goa) and 400 km southwest of Mumbai (Maharashtra). It is likely to move northwestwards across the east-central Arabian Sea during the next 24 hours
