PM Modi calls 21st century the 'era of India and ASEAN', declares 2026 as Year of Maritime Cooperation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday called the 21st century the “century of India and ASEAN” during his virtual address to the ASEAN-India Summit in Kuala Lumpur. He reaffirmed ASEAN’s central role in India’s Act East Policy and announced 2026 as the ‘Year of ASEAN-India Maritime Cooperation’.
