New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the 47th ASEAN Summit virtually on Sunday, October 26. The Indian PM reiterated the bonding between India and ASEAN, stating that the 21st century belongs to India and the ASEAN nations.
Modi congratulated Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for successfully hosting the summit and generously welcomed East Timor, a new member of the ASEAN committee.
The Indian Prime Minister addressed key issues at the summit, including expressing condolences on the death of the Queen Mother of Thailand. Modi declared that not only are trade relations strong between the two regions, but also the spiritual and cultural ties are strong.
