JACKSON, MI -- The Jackson County Animal Shelter, 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.
Here are two of them.
Taz is a 2-year old pup that came in as a stray. Taz is a sweet boy who is medium size at 45 pounds, with a short and easy to maintain hair coat.
He is house trained and was unfazed by cats in the cat room. Taz likes his food bowl and will carry it around.
When meeting other dogs he was very gentle and excited. But his favorite thing is to be with his human.
Tortie is a 2-year-old grey and gold tortie cat who was surrendered by her owner, who just had too many animals.
She is calm and quiet, sometimes a bit on the shy side. When woken from a nap for photographs, she was most compliant. Tortie likes to be petted and enjoys treats.
