A man has sadly lost his life at a capital property.

Emergency services were called for concern for a person at an address on Loganlea Place at around 7.30am on Sunday October 26.

Tragically a 56-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His death is not being treated as suspicious however officers have said it is being treated as unexplained.

Locals reported seeing Loganlea Place closed off in both directions by officers.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.30am on Sunday, 26 October, 2025, we were called to an address on Loganlea Place, Edinburgh.

“A 56-year-old man was pronounced dead.

“Enquiries are ongoing and the death is currently being treated as unexplained, however, at this time there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
