Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared Israel will have the final say on which nations will be allowed to send forces into Gaza under United States President Donald Trump's plan to ensure a permanent end to the war.

Concerns have already arisen about the make-up of the proposed international stabilisation force, the deployment of which is seen as a key step in transitioning the strip away from Hamas control.

While several Arab nations, including Egypt and Qatar, played a key role in negotiations over President Trump's peace plan it remains unclear whether they were prepared to commit troops to the force.
