June Lockhart has passed away at the age of 100. She was known for her roles in Lassie and the television series Lost in Space , along with the 1944 musical movie Meet Me in St. Louis .

Lockhart died of natural causes on October 23 in her Santa Monica, California home, where her daughter, June Elizabeth, and granddaughter, Christiana, were by her side.

Lockhart was born on June 25, 1925 in New York City. Both her parents, Gene and Kathleen Lockhart, were actors. At 13 years old, her onscreen debut was in the uncredited role of Belinda Cratchit in the 1938 A Christmas Carol movie adaptation , a project that her parents were also starring in. Lockhart's father played Bob Cratchit and her mother played Mrs. Cratchit.
