Kuala Lumpur, Oct 26 (UNI/ SPUTNIK) Azerbaijan has said this week it will allow Russian goods to transit to Armenia through its territory by rail, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said today.
“Two days ago, Azerbaijan confirmed to us the possibility of using the railways of Azerbaijan for the transit of Russian products through the territory of Azerbaijan to Armenia. In this sense, we also have some very interesting developments. Russian Railways and its regional counterparts are currently working on how to organize these shipments. At the same time, we have given relevant instructions through the Russian Agriculture Ministry in order to develop this new logistics route,” Overchuk told reporters.
