Five children suffering from thalassemia recently contracted HIV in Jharkhand after getting blood transfusions at a hospital. The case has sparked widespread outrage and prompted a high-level investigation. Chief Minister Hemant Soren said several officials have been suspended after the incident came to light and announced financial assistance for the affected families.
