COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police are investigating after a fiery car crash injured one person Saturday night.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers received a call for service at 10:50 p.m. regarding a crash near East Woodmen Road and Banning Lewis Parkway.

Officers arrived at the scene and found one vehicle fully engulfed in flames. The two people inside this vehicle were able to get out with the help of people in the area, police said.

The passenger of this vehicle was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police said the driver of the other involved vehicle left the area on foot before officers arrived.

While the crash is still under investigation, police believe both speed and alcohol were contributing factors.
