As the mercury plummets and living costs escalate, the Department for Work and Pensions is gearing up to reintroduce three seasonal benefit schemes in November to help households through the winter months.

The absence of bank holidays during this month also means that most standard benefit payments like Universal Credit should be dispatched as per usual.

Those due to receive their DWP benefits on a bank holiday or weekend will typically see their money arrive on the first working day prior. For instance, if you're expecting your PIP money on Saturday, 15th November, it's likely to be paid on Friday, 14th November instead.
