A portion of the northbound lane of the QEII Highway is shut down Sunday as RCMP investigate a collision north of Carstairs.

RCMP Cpl. Gina Slaney says the two-vehicle crash left the four people hurt with undetermined injuries.

Police haven’t ruled out alcohol as a factor in the incident, which happened near Township Road 310 just after 1 a.m.

Traffic in the area is currently being rerouted.

The southbound lane of the QEII remains open to traffic.
