Police taped off a street in north Manchester following an incident in the early hours of Sunday (October 26).

Police and paramedics were called to the scene on Anfield Road in Moston following a call for the concern for the welfare of a person.

It's understood they were found unconscious and rushed to hospital from the scene where they later died. No further details have been confirmed.

A large emergency services presence remained in attendance throughout the morning, with multiple police vehicles and tape stretching across the residential road. View 2 Images

Investigations were carried out to determine the circumstances involved. It's thought a person had collapsed in the street.
