FOXBOROUGH — For the first time in over two decades, the Patriots had individual introductions for players ahead of Sunday’s game with the Browns.

New England’s starting offense was announced as players came out of the tunnel one by one. The loudest ovations from the Gillette Stadium crowd were given to Will Campbell, Kayshon Boutte, and of course, Drake Maye.

“Something we think our players will appreciate and our fans will appreciate,” Vrabel said on the 98.5 pregame show.

Ahead of Super Bowl XXXVI against the Rams, Bill Belichick famously eschewed introductions to have the Patriots come out as a team — a tradition that stuck for the next 23 years.
