SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A San Angelo woman has been sentenced to jail after being convicted of stabbing her boyfriend, who would later die from his injuries, in December 2023.

Court records filed in Tom Green County state that Ebony Gasca, 27, was found guilty by a jury of class A misdemeanor assault on Oct. 27 following a jury trial that began on Oct. 20. Gasca was sentenced to 180 days in the Tom Green County Jail.

The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office inmate roster states that Gasca was booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 10:20 a.m. on Oct. 27.

Gasca, alongside codefendant Shevetra Mathis, was indicted on April 17, 2024, on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly stabbing Jermaine Johnson "with a knife or bladed object" on or about
