SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A 50-year-old man is wanted in connection with an alleged rape that occurred Oct. 20 in Campti, La.

Detectives with the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office (NPSO) are seeking public assistance to find Ernest Loyd.

The victim received treatment from S.A.N.E. (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) nurses at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center and was interviewed by investigators.

To protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation, no further details are being released at this time, NPSO officials said.

Following the investigation, detectives gathered sufficient evidence to secure a criminal arrest warrant for Ernest Loyd:

Lard is wanted for first degree rape and has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a wanted person.
