DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) -- At least one person is dead after a log truck crashed into a lake near Opp early Monday afternoon.

Authorities with the Covington County Sheriff's Office say the truck was traveling down Highway 331 when it crossed the intersection of County Road 38 and crashed into Frank Jackson Lake.

Additional details on the crash are not immediatly known, and the identity of the victim has not been released.

Opp Police have not released any information on the crash.

The crash is under investigation by the Opp Police Department and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol.
