The alleged driver accused of killing a man in a single-vehicle fatal crash on the NSW Far South Coast has had his case heard in court for the first time.

Edward James McCoid, a 33-year-old from the Tweed Shire Council region, has been handed charges that include dangerous driving occasioning death over the allegations.

Previously, a NSW Police spokesperson said officers were called to Sapphire Coast Drive at Tura Beach due to reports of a vehicle rollover on the night of 21 June 2025.

The officers were told a white sedan allegedly lost control, left the road then rolled on the grass.

The two occupants, Mr McCoid and a 46-year-old man, were taken to Bega Hospital in critical cond
