KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Following a citywide enforcement operation last week, the Kansas City Police Department and its federal partners arrested 79 people, including 15 suspected child predators and five suspected of homicide.
KCPD shared a post on Facebook Tuesday afternoon, stating its officers arrested 79 people, cleared 98 federal, state and municipal warrants, issued 69 new charges, and seized numerous narcotics and cash during the operation.
Officers also targeted gang members and others who are reportedly related to violent crime in Kansas City.
Multiple agencies were involved in the effort, including FBI Kansas City, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the United States Marshals Office.
