NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Tennessee State Parks wants to hear from the public about site management plans at 14 state parks.
According to Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation officials, the plan for each park is part of a 10-year Comprehensive Strategic Plan that is guiding how each of Tennessee's 62 state parks is operated.
TDEC officials said each park plan must be reviewed and updated within the next decade.
Officials will hold the meetings to hear about the plans from each park's staff, and residents can respond. Park staff members have come up with specific objectives, and they're looking for input from the public about them.
