Early in the second half of last Friday's Homecoming football game, the Nogales Apaches were threatening to add to their slim 9-8 lead over the Maricopa Rams. NHS had the ball at the Rams' 5-yard-line, and it was first down and goal to go.

But the Apaches couldn't cash in on the opportunity and didn't score again in the game. Meanwhile, Maricopa tallied three unanswered touchdowns on their way to a 28-9 victory. ×
