The world is moving fast — faster than ever, with technology integrating itself into the average life in ways that yesterday’s science fiction writers could only dream of. On Tuesday, the fourth-annual Imagine the Possibilities Technology Showcase was held to help get the Lake Cumberland region up to speed.

The event held at The Center for Rural Development packs all kinds of technological marvels into one room, from 3-D printing to robotics to aeronautics — and the next generation, not of a phone or a laptop but of human beings, with a significant number of students from area schools in attendance.
