SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - For many people, hand pain makes simple tasks, like doing dishes or folding laundry, painful and debilitating.
Each year, Sanford Health holds a free hand surgery clinic to help those without insurance, making care accessible for people who might otherwise go without it.
The provider said the goal is to provide relief, build trust, and give patients back their ability to work and live comfortably.
Photojournalist Dave Hauck met with a patient who’s grateful for the service and the doctor who makes it all happen.
