Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday launched the Anti-Drug Task Force and released the ‘ Sanmitra Action Plan ’ handbook, calling upon the people of Karnataka to join hands with the police in eradicating the drug menace from the state. The event, held at the Vidhana Soudha Banquet Hall, also marked the unveiling of new peak caps for police personnel, a uniform change introduced after nearly seven decades.

“A drug-free Karnataka is my goal, and it should become your goal too. Our youth and students must not fall prey to narcotics. Together, we can help the police fight this menace,” the Chief Minister said, adding that the public’s support would be a true expression of gratitude to the police.
