US President Donald Trump, talking to reporters on Air Force One on Wednesday, said that he is “not allowed" to run for a third term.

“I have my highest poll numbers that I’ve ever had, and you know, based on what I read, I guess I’m not allowed to run, so we’ll see what happens… It’s too bad," Trump said.

“…But we have a lot of great people," he added.

On Monday, Trump told reporters on Air Force One on his trip to Japan that he’d love to run again.

“I would love to do it," the US President said.

Trump went on to say that his Republican Party has great options for the next presidential election, in Marco Rubio, the Secretary of State, who was travelling with him, and Vice President JD Vance, who visited with senators at the Capitol on Tuesday.
