A dense fog advisory was issued for San Diego County's coastal areas on Tuesday night.
The advisory was issued just after 7:45 p.m. and set to expire at 6 a.m. Wednesday. It includes Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad, Encinitas, San Diego, National City and Chula Vista, according to the National Weather Service.
The agency said the fog was reducing visibility to one-quarter mile or less, which could impact driving conditions and air travel.
By 9 p.m. Tuesday, San Diego International Airport had experienced at least 85 delays and two cancellations, according to the flight tracking website FlightAware. SAN's website was also showing dozens of delayed flights at that time.
"If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you," the NWS said.
