Although the severe cyclonic storm 'Montha', which made its landfall in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday evening, has weakened into a moderate cyclonic storm, it will continue to head northwest at a speed of about 10 kmph, causing showers in Bihar and Odisha.
As per the latest IMD forecast, districts including West Champaran, Kaimur, Banka, Rohtas, Gaya, Sheikhpura, and Nawada are expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall on Wednesday as the cyclone’s outer bands move northward.
“The cloud mass associated with Cyclonic Storm Montha over coastal Andhra Pradesh is active. It will move north-northwestwards across coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and weaken into a deep depression during the next three hours and into a depression during the subsequent six hours.
