I watched parliament in disbelief as Opposition Leader Sussan Ley tried to make an antisemitism issue from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese wearing a Joy Division T-shirt (″ Ley attacks PM’s shirt ″, 29/10). I am a Jewish fan of the band. I never knew it was the name of forced brothels in concentration camps, because it isn’t. Sussan Ley and her media friends are simply wrong.
The word in German for those brothels was ″Freudenabteilungen″ which translates as ″joy, pleasure or delight” and “department” not Joy Division. which was
