Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to begin construction of a new cable-stayed bridge connecting Goregaon to Andheri’s Oshiwara across the Goregaon Creek this November. Estimated at ₹418 crore, the project aims to ease traffic congestion across Mumbai’s western suburbs and is expected to be completed by October 2028.
A new artery for the Western Suburbs
Planned as a north–south link parallel to S.V. Road and Link Road, the upcoming bridge will serve as a crucial connector between two congested areas - Bhagat Singh Nagar in P/South ward (Goregaon) and Oshiwara in K/West ward (Andheri). The 542-metre-long structure will run along a 36.6-metre-wide DP Road, offering commuters an alternative route between Andheri, Oshiwara
