LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office reported that it collected 120 pounds of unused medications during its drug take-back event earlier this month.
The team securely deposited the medications in a mobile pill drop box and will transport them to a refinery for safe disposal.
The event gives community members a responsible way to get rid of unused or unwanted prescription drugs, helping prevent access by children, pets, or individuals at risk of addiction.
