Melbourne Victory coach Arthur Diles is wary of a “positive reaction” from the Glory on Friday night in response to the Perth club’s sacking of coach David Zdrilic on Tuesday.

Last season’s wooden spooners have sent Zdrilic packing after just two rounds of the new season, with assistant coaches Adam Griffiths and Tomi Vidovic expected to take charge of the team until a new head coach is appointed.

A-League title-winning coaches John Aloisi and Patrick Kisnorbo are two of the names being targeted by Glory officials, but an appointment isn’t expected this week.

“It makes it a little bit more unknown in terms of what to expect from the opponent,” Diles said ahead of side’s visit to HBF Park.

“When these things happen, you can get a real positive reaction from a playing group.”
