The coach was carrying visiting fans who were attending the League of Ireland clash between Derry City and Shamrock Rovers on Sunday.

Officers intercepted the vehicle in Strabane and seized alcohol, flares and fireworks.

No arrests were made, however, the vehicle was refused entry into the event.

The operation was carried out by Foyleside Neighbourhood Policing team and Road Policing Interceptors and Operational Support Department.

It follows recent disorder, including in July before and after a game between Bohemian FC and Derry City which erupted into violence outside the stadium.

Two people were injured after fans armed with iron bars, bats and sticks attacked each other.
