MANCHESTER, N.H. —
On Tuesday, New Hampshire State Police remembered one of their own, Staff Sgt. Jesse Sherrill, who died four years ago.
Sherrill died on Oct. 28, 2021, when his cruiser was hit by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 in Portsmouth while he was working a paving detail in a mobile construction zone .
State police held a morning observance, saying Sherrill continues to inspire the force.

"The impact that he had on the state police and his community is still seen today, and our troopers go out every day and try to live up to his example that he left for all of us," Col. Mark Hall said.
Earlier this year, the state's move-over law was expanded and renamed Sherill's Law.
