Alabama Public Television (APT) officials are considering cutting ties with PBS.

Alabama Public Television Executive Director Wayne Reid told CBS 42 the issue was discussed at an Alabama Educational Television Commission meeting on Tuesday.

The Republican-controlled Congress and President Donald Trump recently cut federal funding to NPR and PBS.

Reid told CBS 42 that no final decision has been made, but a special meeting is scheduled to discuss the issue on November 18.
