State police have charged a Killingly woman with murder and said she is accused of shooting a man in the chest.

Troopers responded to a home on Pratt Road in Dayville at 9:31 p.m. Monday to investigate a shooting and they found a man who had been shot in the chest.

A person who was shot in Killingly on Monday night has died and police said they are investigating the death as a homicide.

He was transported to Day Kimball Hospital where he died, according to state police.

Police said they found the suspect, 65-year-old Michelle Yeagher, of Killingly, in the residence and detained her.
