A Norfolk staple is calling it quits after 58 years.

Lew’s Hot Dogs will close on Oct. 31, it announced on social media. Owners William and Michelle East are retiring.

“The biggest thing we’re going to miss is the people,” William said.

He has seen multiple generations grow up in the restaurant, including a 34-year-old woman who has been coming there since she was 5 and now brings her kids.
