Considering the prevailing weather conditions resulting from Cyclone Montha, the South Central Railway (SCR) has appealed to passengers to undertake train journeys only if unavoidable.
On Wednesday, the SCR issued a travel advisory for passengers in view of heavy rains, flash floods, and waterlogging affecting several parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and
coastal areas following the impact of Cyclone Montha.
In particular, the Mahabubabad–Dornakal–Khammam section has been badly affected, disrupting train movement, resulting in some trains being cancelled, partially cancelled, diverted, or rescheduled. Officials said further changes in train operations may occur depending on the evolving weather situation.
