The fifth-seeded Nelson Hawks (20-4) will play host to the No. 28 Glencoe Crimson Tide (12-12) on Wednesday night in Round 1 of the Oregon 6A volleyball state championship playoffs .

Coach Lisa McBee’s Hawks won the Mt. Hood Conference title with a perfect 14-0 conference record.

The Crimson Tide, coached by Ashley Cox, finished third in the Pacific Conference with a 7-5 conference mark. They are coming off a 3-0 win at Liberty in their regular-season finale Monday, Oct. 20.

Nelson and Glencoe have not met this season.

Opening serve is set for 6:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday, October 29, with a live TV broadcast on NFHS Network .
