MONTE VISTA, Colo. (KKTV) - Monte Vista City Manager Gigi Dennis announced Tuesday that a local police chief had been placed on paid administrative leave effective immediately.
According to the city of Monte Vista, Police Chief Tyler Harford was placed on administrative leave after reports of an alleged off-duty incident on Saturday evening in Saguache.
City officials did not share details on the incident “to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation and the privacy of all individuals involved.”
Sergeant Robert Pino will serve as the Monte Vista Acting Chief of Police.
The City of Salida Police Department (SPD) is conducting an independent investigation and review. 11 News has reached out to SPD for details on the incident.
