FORT SMITH, Ark. — Amid a government shutdown that threatens to cut off SNAP benefits to at-risk Americans, many are scrambling to find ways to put food on the table.

Thankfully, some good Samaritans are working to make sure neighbors don't go hungry, but for many, the best option is to go to a local food bank.

One option is the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, which offers a mobile pantry that travels to different cities multiple times a week.

Those in need can also use the NWA Food Bank's " Find Food " map to locate nearby assistance.
